This site is on the WSU-Puyallup Research and Extension Center in Puyallup, WA. The site is wet, getting runoff water from upslope areas in addition to having heavy clay soil and being poorly drained. Madrones typically do not grow in this type of soil. The survivors will be considered for planting on wet sites.
