2011-1109 Monitoring Vance Creek

Vance Creek

A black dog smiles from the water in a creek under a bridge.
A man in a red plaid flannel and orange hat indicates a branch with yellow plastic flagging tied to it, marking the location of one of their scientific implements.

Site 1109

A bridge with a metal railing over a wide creek with relatively smooth water. Halfway across the creek at far left center of the frame there is a root ball with a thin log resting on the bank at the far right center, suspended slightly above the water.

A map that has the site marked in the center as a blue plus. It depicts land use in the area. Each type of land use is denoted by a transparent colored overlay inside a red circle totaling 259 hectares. The land use is as follows: 51.18 hectares low-density residential, 9.66 hectares "other" (it is a stream), 197.6 hectares woodland.
the same land area as is shown in the map above. the red circle on the outside shows the extent with a smaller blue circle inside it, around a red location marker at the center.
A circle graph, without numbers to indicate percentages, depicting species results for site 1109 Vance Creek. Over 50% of species identified were Elongisporangium undulatum. The second most identified species was Phytophthora taxon Pg chlamydo, followed by Pythium new sp 1, and Phytophthora gonapodyides.
A line graph indicating the water temperature at site 1109 Vance Creek. On 17 April the water was 4.5C. On 17 May it was up to 10C, where it remained until 17 May of the following year, when it went up to 11C.
